Ingredients for making sweet and sour pork sauce

Making sweet and sour pork sauce:

Step 1. Prepare vegetables and fruits.

Wash bell pepper, cut in half and remove the middle with seeds. Cut the pepper into strips 1 cm wide. We clean the onion from the husk. We cut the onion on a cutting board in half and then in half rings not very thinly. Open a can with pineapple with a can opener. Pour the juice from pineapples into a bowl, it can still come in handy. If pineapple rings, then cut them into pieces 2x2 cm in size.

Step 2. Fry vegetables and fruits.

We put the pan on the fire. Pour half of the vegetable oil into it and fry slices of sweet pepper a little. A little - until the pepper becomes soft, i.e. 10 minutes. When frying, stir the pepper continuously. We shift the pepper into a separate bowl. Pour into a pan in which pepper was still fried with oil and fry the onion in it over medium heat. Fry, stirring constantly, so that the onion does not burn. When the onion is browned, add tomato paste diluted in half a glass of water. Stir, add sugar and wine vinegar. Mix everything, bring to a boil, reduce heat and simmer for 5 minutes. If the sauce is too thick, you can add a little pineapple syrup to it.

Step 3. Bring the sauce to readiness.

We do not remove the pan from the heat, add sweet pepper and pineapple to the sauce. Mix everything and leave to stew for another 10 minutes. Stir constantly. If it turns out too thick, add another pineapple syrup. At the end of cooking, add 3 tablespoons of soy sauce to the sweet and sour sauce and mix again. We try. We did not add salt, so we add salt with soy sauce. The taste should turn out to be sweet and sour, but not sweet. If there is not enough acid, add a drop of vinegar. Bring to a boil and turn off the heat. Sweet and sour sauce is ready.

Step 4. Serve the sweet and sour pork sauce.

Sweet and sour sauce is served immediately after cooking. You can pour them slices of pork, fried in batter. Alternatively, you can add ready-made pork at the end of cooking to the sauce and warm the meat in it. Enjoy your meal!
