Cooking puffs with jam:
Step 1: prepare the dough.Thaw the finished puff pastry (let stand for 15-20 minutes at room temperature) and cut each of the four plates into 4 approximately equal parts. As a result, we get 16 puffs. Then, pour a little flour on the board and distribute it evenly over the entire surface with your hand, and also sprinkle a little dough on the plate, which we are going to roll out. Each sliced plate with a rolling pin is rolled out a little in one direction. So do with all puff pastry plates.
Step 2: make puffs. The procedure is described for the manufacture of one puff, all others are made in the same way. Drive the egg into the bowl, but first you need to separate the yolk from the protein, this can be done by hand or using a separator. We need protein. Dip a brush for lubrication in protein and gently grease the edges of the puff. With a tablespoon, we collect jam and put on a puff, distributing it a little on the surface. Cover the puff with jam with a free plate, slightly stretching and pressing the edges so that the dough sticks well. We fix the edges of the puff with a fork (as on chebureks). Thus we make 8 puffs.
Step 3: bake puffs. The kitchen table, using the same brush, is liberally greased with vegetable oil and carefully laid out ready-made puffs directly on it. Leave them to soak for 1.5-2 hours at room temperature. After time, turn on the oven and set temperature mode 200 degrees. Lubricate the baking sheet with the same vegetable oil and carefully shift our future pies onto it. We send a baking sheet with puffs in a preheated oven and bake them 15-20 minutes.
Step 4: serve to the table. We take out the baking sheet with the prepared puffs from the oven, carefully transfer them to the tray and sprinkle with powdered sugar. That's it, the puffs with jam are ready - we serve it to the table. Enjoy your meal!
- - jam can be completely replaced with confiture, for example, cherry.
- - the recipe shows the proportions of the ingredients for only two servings. To make more puffs, double or triple the amount of ingredients accordingly.
