Cooking meat cutlets for steam:

Step 1: Prepare the ingredients.

The basis of the minced meat for our cutlets is meat. You can buy ready-made mincemeat, or you can make it yourself by choosing a suitable piece of meat for this, cleaning it of films and fat. In the preparation of minced meat you will definitely need a meat grinder or a blender. Cutlets can be prepared from pork, chicken, lamb and beef, as well as mixtures thereof. To shade the taste of meat and give it a flavor, we will take a silver or large onion, peel it from the husk and finely chop. You can use a blender, just do not chop the onion in mashed potatoes. We also do with garlic. To fix the forcemeat so that it keeps the shape of cutlets, we need raw potatoes, which we will wash, peel and grate or grind very finely in a blender. Now everything is ready for cooking.

Step 2: Cooking the minced meat for steam cutlets.

In a deep bowl, mix the minced meat, chopped potato, onion and garlic, then break the eggs, salt and pepper to taste. To make the patties juicy, add a tablespoon of milk to the minced meat. The resulting mass must be carefully altered to evenly distribute the ingredients. You can mix the forcemeat with a spoon, or you can mix it with a blender - so it will take less effort and time.

Step 3: Sculpt and cook cutlets for a couple.

We put a steamer closer and begin cooking the meatballs. Hands must be dampened with cold water so that the stuffing does not stick to them, and is well formed. Scoop the minced meat with a tablespoon, roll it between the palms, giving it the shape of cutlets and put it into a double boiler. Try to put cutlets not too tight so that they do not stick together. We close the double boiler and set the mode "steaming". Cooking time for steam cutlets - half an hour. After the time has passed, turn off the steam boiler, and let the patties still brew. These 10 minutes are just enough to set the table.

Step 4: Serve the finished cutlets for a couple.

Steam cutlets go well with any side dish, such as mashed potatoes or boiled rice. Salads made from fresh vegetables or just pickles are also good. Try to cook a sauce for steam patties that emphasizes the extraordinary taste of this healthy dish. Enjoy your meal!

Recipe Tips:

- - If you don’t have a double boiler, it doesn’t matter - take a large pan, fill it with water by about a third, put a colander with cutlets in it on top, and cover the pan with a lid. Homemade double boiler is ready. But you need to cook cutlets in it a little longer, about 40 minutes.

- - Add some chopped greens to the minced meat, this will add the meatballs even more flavor.

- - Instead of grated raw potatoes to fix the shape of the patties, you can add a little pulp of white bread, soaked previously in milk or heavy cream, to the minced meat.

- - Cutlets should not be flat, so give them the shape of a ball, not cakes. So they are better baked and will be more juicy.
