Ingredients for Making Egg Patties

Cooking pies with eggs:

Step 1: Combine the margarine with flour.

Margarine or butter (about a glass) must be cut into very small pieces, gradually adding flour, then stir it all in such a way as to make small crumbs. But, in order not to suffer for a long time, you can simply dissolve it a little in a small saucepan on a stove over medium heat. It is important not to bring the oil to a boil, and even more so until it starts to burn.

Step 2: Add the remaining ingredients for the dough and knead it.

Eggs (2 pcs.) After washing well, break them into a large bowl and mix them with kefir until smooth. Then combine these ingredients with margarine chips, the remaining flour and yeast. All this needs to be mixed well and knead the dough first in this bowl, then on a large preferably wooden board, sprinkled with flour a little.

Step 3: Roll out the dough several times and cool.

Pour water into a small saucepan, cool with salt, place eggs there and cook hard-boiled (8 - 10 minutes after boiling water). When they are ready, cool them with running cold water. The dough needs to be rolled out with a rolling pin on a flat surface, roll or fold the resulting layer into several layers, roll out. This procedure must be repeated 4 to 5 times. Then roll the dough and do not roll, but place in the refrigerator for 1.5 - 2 hours.

Step 4: Prepare the filling.

While the dough is cooled in the refrigerator, prepare the filling for the pies. Peel the boiled eggs, rinse the onions with running cold water. Cut the onion finely with a sharp knife on a cutting board, salt, pepper, then put in a mortar and crush a little of it so that the juice stands out. Cut the eggs into small cubes, combine with the onion and mix with a fork.

Step 5: Form the pies and bake in the oven.

We take the roll from the dough, roll the sausage from it and cut it into pieces 4 to 5 cm wide. These pieces need to be rolled into circles, onto which we spread the filling with a tablespoon, cover the edges and sprinkle a little flour. On a baking sheet, greased with margarine or sunflower oil, put the pies with the seams down and place them in the oven, which follows in advance warm up to 200 degrees. Bake 25-30 minutes.

Step 6: Serve the egg pies.

When the pies are browned, then they are ready. We lay the finished baked goods on a deep or flat serving dish. Patties with eggs can be a good breakfast, hearty snack or a great dinner. You can drink it with cold or warm milk, green tea or black tea with milk. Good appetite!

Recipe Tips:

- - Instead of onions, you can use other combinations with eggs, for example, boiled rice or hard cheese grated on a fine grater.

- - When the pies are almost ready, they can be taken out of the oven and greased with a beaten egg or yolk, then placed in the oven. This will give them a special taste. When the crust is dark brown, then the pies are ready.

- - Ready patties should be greased with a piece of butter and covered with a towel so that the dough cools slightly. The use of hot dough is not the best way affects digestion.
