Shake with Nesquik - Recipes

The main source of protein in this vegan SHAKE with AFINE, ideal for fasting, comes from hemp seeds, a complete herbal protein that is easy to digest and contains anti-inflammatory omega-3s. Proteins and anti-inflammatory substances are also very necessary after a workout. This shake is also a good source of iron.

Green smoothie-shake, a quick remedy for constipation

The leaf and fruit shake is the most powerful "medicine" against CONSTIPATION, especially for those who eat lettuce very rarely & # 8211 in fact, how many of us eat salad daily and how much can we consume? Green smoothie is the solution for all of us who do not have the necessary intake of vegetable fiber in our daily diet. But no one says to give up salads rich in green leaves or roots.

If we were to talk about constipation, medicine says that it is the biggest problem of the population today and also the number one cause of all diseases, ranging from the simplest to incurable diseases. It is logical that as long as the body cannot get rid of all the garbage collected over time and years, it will no longer function properly. The toxins that keep accumulating in the colon are reabsorbed in the body, causing specific problems as well as headaches, states of permanent fatigue, states of malaise and dissatisfaction, weight gain, etc.

The shake is the variant of a green nectar and is considered a soft drink that has the consistency of a more liquid ice cream and this is due to the ice cubes inserted in the blender. It is known that any green leaves or shoots can be associated with any sweet fruit in smoothies. But we will try not to mix the roots with the fruits, because this combination can create digestive problems. I invite you to watch a video with the presentation of the recipe.

The shake is consumed at room temperature and can be drunk daily, or every two days, about 2 liters / day or as much as you can. Ideally, it should be consumed immediately, but it can also be stored for 2-3 hours. You can take it to work in a glass thermos, or in ceramic glass or in various vacuum preservation containers. Many prefer it instead of breakfast or dinner because it is very filling and rich in nutrients.

It is important to process them in high speed blenders for a maximum of 1-2 minutes, because the mixing time will be very short, ie less than 1 minute, while in a lower speed blender, you can blend 4 -6 minutes, and you will still have pieces of unmopped fruit and leaves. Also, at too long a processing, the blender blade heats up, implicitly the smoothie and the nutrients diminish a lot. However, if you can't afford a higher speed blender, pre-cut with a ceramic knife or a normal knife, both the fruit and the leaves. You will say yes, but the blender knife will oxidize all the contents anyway, regardless of whether we use the ceramic knife for the first time. My opinion is that in this case we can avoid double oxidation and let the metal interact only once with the smoothie, not twice.

Just as a recommendation, a blender with a speed of over 1,000W will make your work easier and turn everything into a delicious paste, which even children will love (you can shake them from the age of 6 months). From personal experience as well as others, this smoothie works wonders in cleansing the intestinal tract. Read more about the qualities of edible leaves and in general vegetable juices or sprouts.

Before I start I will give you another little advice. At the beginning, add only a small amount of leaves (half of the amount given in the recipe), to teach you the taste, and along the way add more leaves. Also, if you try one of the networks below or others and you don't like the taste, add more sweet fruit until you like it. You don't have to use the same combination of greens every time. You can change them using different groups from the plants below. In winter we will use the leaves found on the market, or any sprout at hand (sunflower, peas, alfalfa, clover, etc.). The secret to a successful shake is to always combine the five tastes.

How to prepare is the same for all the recipes below.

Add the ingredients one by one to the blender. Blend until smooth and if they do not fit into them 2 minutes, let the blender rest a bit and try again for another 1 minute. That is why a blender with a speed of over 1,000W is needed, so that no pieces of leaves or fruits remain. The smoothie should be as fine as an ice cream to taste. It should not contain unmixed lettuce or other pieces of fruit, because it will become difficult to drink.

The 11-year-old boy who eats only Nesquik milkshakes

Nicholas Woodcraft, an 11-year-old boy from Great Britain, eats only Nesquik milkshakes, refusing any solid food. His mother admits that in his 11 years, the boy never had a diet that contained solid food and that he did not even learn to chew food.

However, Nicholas' mother insists that the boy is perfectly healthy.

"I'm very sad because I know Nicholas would like to eat sometimes, but he doesn't have that ability, physically speaking." He can't chew food. & Quot, mentioned Nicholas' mother.

& quot; I tried everything, I turned to all kinds of specialists, but I didn't get any results. He has been good at school so far, both his teachers and colleagues being very understanding. But I'm afraid he'll be in trouble when he starts high school. ", added Mrs. Woodcraft.

Nicholas' daily diet contains a tube of banana Nesquik and a half-liter of semi-skimmed milk, or more than 2,800 calories, a huge amount of sugar for an 11-year-old.

& quot; When he was about 6 months old, I tried to introduce solid food into his diet. I just didn't make it. He refuses everything. I started to pass her food, mix it with milk and put it in a bottle. & Quot, mentioned the boy's mother.
Nicholas has three brothers, but none of them face this problem.

"When he started school at the age of 4, he was not allowed to eat glass food. That's when he gave up everything and went on a diet with Nesquik. It is very sad for both us and him. He likes to cook with me, but he doesn't touch food. & Quot, added Nicholas' mother.

Here's how to make a delicious strawberry sheak that any child will love from the first snack:

Necessary ingredients:

200 - 300 grams of strawberries

2 cups vanilla ice cream

Method of preparation:

First, wash the strawberries well and remove the stalks. Stop two sliced strawberries and keep them for the decoration at the end.

Then chop the rest of the strawberries and place them in a bowl. Put the milk and yogurt over them and mix with a mixer. It starts from the first step, and as it homogenizes you can grow bravely.

If you have a blender or a strainer you can use it instead of a mixer. Thus, the shake will have a much finer texture and will be easier to consume, especially for the little ones.

After mixing these ingredients, pour everything into a glass. Finally, put the strawberry slices in the glass and mix. Add ice cream, one or two cups, depending on taste.

Use the mint leaves for the decoration at the end. Thus, with a splash of color your glass will look much better.

Tricks for an irresistible shake

The shake is an easy recipe to prepare, and a great advantage is its versatility. In addition to strawberries, you can prepare it with peaches or apricots, blueberries, blackberries, cherries or even cherries if you want a cream that is not very sweet.

For an even tastier shake, we recommend adding a drop of vanilla essence. If you choose to prepare it with blackberries or cherries, you can opt for half a teaspoon of honey to sweeten the mixture.

Then decorate the glasses with mint leaves, cinnamon sticks or small chocolates. The little ones will be ecstatic when they see a delicious and carefully made plating.

If you want to prepare the strawberry shake at children's parties, you could choose glasses with special shapes, such as plastic cups, especially if it is an outdoor party. Glasses with superheroes or Disney characters are also among the children's favorites, and for a nice look, we recommend straws with geometric shapes or fruit patterns made of crepe paper.

An extra taste and especially a reliable help for the appearance will be the cream. Make cream patterns on top of the strawberry shake glasses, and you can put mint leaves on top for even more color.

The Nestlé Recipe Book for Healthier Kids can be downloaded here.

Nutrition is very important both for growth and development during childhood, and for the prevention of diseases in adulthood. Nutrition influences our well-being, both physical and emotional. In Romania, the figures show that 1 in 4 children are overweight or obese, only 26.9% eat vegetables daily and just over 42% eat fresh fruit daily 1. Most often, the imbalance occurs in the family, before the little one is exposed to the influences of the extra-family environment. A child learns from the examples seen in the family. We at Nestlé consider m that healthy eating habits are formed from the first years of life and it is essential that parents provide their children with a proper food education. That's why we've created several tools that help parents, such as NutriPortia and now the healthy and easy-to-cook recipe book with the little ones. We want this book to be a guide for parents in Romania and to help them make healthy choices for their children ", declare Nicoleta Tupiță, Nutrition Health and Wellness Manager, at Nestlé Romania.

Balanced nutrition at any age is defined by 3 basic elements: variety, adequate caloric intake and a correct distribution of macronutrients in the daily menu. After the age of 1, children can participate in family meals, they can eat at the same meal with their parents. Thus, children acquire a healthy relationship with food, and parents must set an example for them.

The nutritional needs of children vary greatly depending on their age and stage of development. The accelerated growth of children in the first years of life must be supported by an adequate diet, both caloric and nutritious. Given that children's needs evolve with them, following a few simple steps, an age-appropriate nutritional plan can be established: assessing nutritional status, determining caloric needs according to age, ensuring variety in diet and setting portions.

Studies show that there is a correlation between diet and school performance, taking into account the role of nutrition in the development of the brain at the beginning of life, but also cognitive functions. Thus, some nutritional deficiencies can affect children's ability to concentrate and memorize. Iron, vitamins B1, B2, B3, B6, B8, B12, folic acid, copper, iodine, magnesium, potassium, vitamin C, omega 3 fatty acids are nutrients with roles in the functioning of the nervous system 5. Parents need to make sure that all of these nutrients are present in their children's diets daily. Most of these nutrients are provided by a varied diet, which corresponds to the energy needs of children, they need energy to be able to concentrate at school. Breakfast is the first meal of the day and should contain whole grains, fruits, dairy proteins or eggs and healthy fats from nuts, fish or olive oil. Lunch and dinner should be just as balanced. Half of the children's plate should be filled with vegetables, a quarter with high-protein foods (meat, fish, eggs, dairy or legumes) and a quarter with high-carbohydrate foods (cereals, bread, pasta, rice, potatoes).

In 2020, in Romania, the Nestlé for Healthier Kids initiatives reached over 80,000 children and 2 million parents, teachers and the general public, both through educational programs that promote a balanced diet and a healthy lifestyle, and through efforts to innovate and reformulate Nestlé products in order to reduce the amount of added sugars, salt and saturated fats. In the communication campaigns of the NutriPorția and International Chefs ’Day projects, Nestlé reached over 2 million people, mostly parents, with educational messages.

Globally, Nestlé launched 1,210 more nutritious products last year, reduced 60,000 tonnes of sugar and 10,000 tonnes of salt from 2017 to date and eliminated 10% of saturated fats, thus fulfilling its 2014 commitment. added 300 million servings of whole grains, legumes, nuts and seeds to its products, and whole grains are the number one ingredient in all breakfast cereals for children and teenagers.

To support a healthier diet among Romanian families, Nestlé recently launched Nesquik All Natural cocoa with raw cane sugar and natural ingredients, Maggi Bio cubes, Maggi liquid food bases, Cheerios Bio breakfast cereals , Nesquik Bio and Corn Flakes gluten-free cereal bar. He also renewed the Maggi Ideea Zilei recipes, which now contain only simple ingredients, which we find in our kitchens. On the Romanian market, all breakfast cereals, except Corn Flakes, have whole grains as the main ingredient.
