Cooking catfish in nuts:

Step 1: Prepare the fish.

First you need to rinse the fish well under a cold running stream of water, then put it on a cutting board and cut into portions. Determine the size of the pieces yourself, depending on your preference. If bones are found, they should be removed. Then salt the fish and pepper to your liking. Sprinkle it with the juice of half a lemon and leave for a few minutesso that the fish is saturated with spices.

Step 2: Cook the batter and prepare the nuts.

Put a dry clean pan to medium heat, warm well, then pour in it, previously peeled, walnut kernels. Stir occasionally, fry nuts within 10 minutes. Then, when the nuts darken slightly, remove the pan from the heat, cool. Grind the nuts manually or with a mortar into small crumbs. After that add lemon zest and bread crumbs to them, mix everything thoroughly. Break the egg into a small bowl and beat lightly with a fork.

Step 3: Fry the fish.

Roll each piece of fish in flour, then in a beaten egg. Then roll in a mixture of nuts and crackers, from all sides. Leave the pieces of fish 5 minutesso that breading has time to gain a foothold. Put the pan over medium heat, heat, add a little vegetable oil, then put the fish. Fry it on both sides until golden brown.

Step 4: Serve the catfish in nuts.

When the fish is ready, put it on a serving plate and serve to the table as main course. As a side dish, you can use boiled rice or potatoes, baked or fresh vegetables. Good appetite!
