Prepare the apples first. Peel a squash, grate it and cut it into large cubes. Add the sugar over them and mix them well, then put them on the fire for 10 minutes, during which time the sugar melts, forms a syrup and softens. Add the cinnamon and mix.

Depending on how much syrup is formed, add starch. I added 1 tablespoon with the tip. Homogenize the composition and let it cool.

For the dough, mix the flour with the sugar and salt and add the melted butter, stirring vigorously until smooth. You will get a sandy dough like crumble.

Mix the cheese with the sugar, cream, essence and the two eggs. Depending on the consistency of the mixture, add starch or semolina. I added 2 tablespoons of grated starch.

Assemble the apple cake and vanilla cream cheese in a 35x25 cm tray.

Line the tray with baking paper, then spread 3/4 of the dough in the tray, pressing it with your hands.

Spread the cream cheese over the dough, on top of them, and crush the stopped dough over it.

Put the tray in the preheated oven for 40-50 minutes, at 180 degrees, or until the cake is browned.

Then let the cake cool so you can slice it nicely.
